Easy to make whiskey cocktail this summer!

Whisky an alcoholic beverage and one of the most popular drinks for people in India and other parts of the world. It is defined as an alcoholic beverage because it distilled from grain and aged in wooden barrels. There is no added flavouring in a whiskey to be a whiskey and all its flavours are meant to come from the barrel in which the whiskey is aged in. Besides, it is also used for making savoury cocktails. Let’s have a look at top easy-to-make cocktails which should be tried this summer.

Whiskey Sour

One of the easiest recipes to follow, whiskey sour is accepted cocktail globally. It is believed to taste good with a choice of a India No.1 whiskey. This whiskey cocktail follows a 2:1 ratio ingredient-wise where one part is sweet. 2 ounces of whiskey. Shake them well for 1 minute along with ice, and your whiskey sour is ready to serve. This drink is also served with egg white which is added to the shaker once the drink is completely mixed.

Old Fashioned

This cocktail uses Goa Special whiskey with maple syrup / simple syrup and a lemon slice / orange slice. Place the sugar, bitters and water in a small tumbler and mix until  sugar dissolves. Ready the serving glass with ice and whiskey. Pour the mixture into the glass and stir till 10-15 seconds. Use the lemon twist or orange as  garnish over the glass.

Manhattan

This was invented in New York in mid-1870; Manhattan is one of the most popular cocktails for all times. It is made using 2 ounces of Whiskey, 0.5 ounces of sweet vermouth, 1 dash of angostura bitters and cherry. Mix your whiskey, vermouth, and bitters in a serving glass and stir it at least for 10 seconds. Add ice in the glass and stir for another 10 seconds. Garnish with a cherry.

Brown Derby Cocktail

This 19th century cocktail uses 3 ingredients- India no.1 whiskey, grapefruit juice and honey syrup.  Add ice cubes with India No. 1, grapefruit juice, and honey in a mixer. Shake it for 20 seconds till you start feeling the chill in your hands. Pour the mixture into your favorite whiskey glass and garnish it with a lemon wedge. Your drink is ready.
